students posing with certificates

Students in the Havre de Grace High School Information Technology Oracle Academy completed a three-month partnership with the U.S. Army's Capability Program Executive Command and Control Information Network (CPE C2IN) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, presenting original software dashboard designs for a real Army system.

Working in groups, students used their coding, programming, and UI/UX design skills to reimagine the user interface of a tool Soldiers rely on to manage and consolidate data for operational planning. Each team approached the challenge differently, with some focusing on task-tracking applications, others developing customizable dashboards, and several designing real-time server monitoring displays. CPE C2IN team members attended the final presentations and presented students with certificates recognizing their work.

Project Manager Data & AI plans to incorporate elements from the student designs into the software's next iteration.

Congratulations to these students and their instructors on a project that made a real impact.
